Next year’s Dahlonega Literary Festival will be held on March 7, 2026.

The DLF will continue to attract Featured Authors from a variety of genres – fiction and non-fiction – and a variety of backgrounds and subject matters. The DLF Steering Committee will probably bring back a few of our favorites from past years, hopefully collect on promises to participate made when circumstances precluded participation and certainly add a number of first-time attendees. ​

To volunteer to serve on the Steering Committee, please email Donna Gessell at dgessell@ung.edu. Positions on the committee include chair, secretary, treasurer, website manager, fundraising, publicity, facilities, set up and tear down, author recruitment, scheduling, bookseller liaison, day of coordinator, hospitality coordinator, Saturday lunch coordinator, evening events coordinator, and book fair chair. Recent Steering Committees have averaged a dozen members, some taking on multiple positions.
